Zone Conference And One Year
Hey everyone,
Last week I hit one year since I came to Mongolia. It was a good reflection point of spiritual and language growth while living in Mongolia.
Last week was pretty awesome.
We had zone conference in Darkhan. We had to take 2 different taxis with just over 9 hours total of on-the-road time. But zone conference was awesome.
My district meets over Messenger calls once a week, so it was nice to see everyone in person!
For Easter Sunday, all the missionaries sang the hymn "There Is a Green Hill Far Away" in the middle of our church service.
It was a beautiful song to commemorate the Easter season.
This week we had an awesome exchange with our STLs Sister Brouse and Sister Taylor. We got our maps all organized and figured out how to check the different horoos (kind of like districts but a lot smaller).
Our Elders baptized 4 people this past Saturday. It was awesome.
This week we have transfers. I'm hoping that I'll get to train again or stay with Sister Wilson. But I definitely want to stay in Murun.
That's all for this week.
I'll leave you all off with a cool thought.
In order to live with God again, we need to become perfect. However, there is not a perfect person on Earth today. So if we are supposed to be perfect but cannot possibly achieve that, how do we live with God again? He wants us to live with Him, like all parents want to see their children again.
The answer is through Jesus Christ. He took all of our wrongdoings, our pains, our afflictions, and most importantly our sins. Now, because we have had our sins taken from us, we only need to repent to become clean.
I want to testify that Jesus Christ is the eternal Dawn dish soap for our souls. We only need to repent and turn towards Him again.
That's all for this week,
Love,
Sister Vestel
