The Year Of The Snake

Hello everyone,
I forgot to write an email last week—whoops.

This week has gone by so quickly! We had so many cool little miracles happen.

Last Wednesday
We ate a really good meal with our whole district at a member's house. It was awesome. They served fresh pineapple, oranges, steamed bok choy, and some amazing chicken. We also ate buuz, but not a whole lot.

We met with three new investigators, and we are meeting with two more this week!

It has definitely been a beautiful week here in terms of weather. It's starting to feel like fall weather, even though it's going into spring. It's getting really windy, and I know the rain is about to get really bad next month.

It's strange how a foreigner can learn to adjust and anticipate the weather, even though I'm from a completely different country.

This week, I wanted to share a little bit about this book I'm reading. It's by C.S. Lewis, but it's not about Narnia.

It's about two devils. The book is called The Screwtape Letters, and it is AMAZING!

I am only on letter six, but I have taken so many notes. I highly recommend reading them! The photo listed below is my favorite page. Please read these letters!

If you dedicate more of your learning to spiritual matters—no matter what kind—you will begin to feel God's intelligence work in you. We are all naturally intelligent beings, but being able to take that natural intelligence and grow it to the best of your ability is something God wants for all of us.

He gave us the proverbial talents and expects us to multiply them.

So, this week, I have an invitation for you all. For those really reading, take a book that will increase your knowledge in a particular field—history, science, engineering, gardening, sociology, or religion. Take a picture of this book and send me an email back. And then actually read the book.

My book is The Screwtape Letters.

Love you all,
Sister Vestel
