Boots
Hello All,
This week has been so busy. We have had to run around to catch buses, make appointments, and just generally get places.
We had a really good meeting with an LA family out in the middle of a Ger district. And the food they made was absolutely delicious.
The weather has now dropped significantly enough to wear my new snow boots and my new blue scarf (thanks Andrea).
I don't have a lot else for this week except to say that we have seen a lot of little miracles.
I promise to write more next week, but for now, I'll leave you with a spiritual thought.
The path to being like Christ and living with your Heavenly Father again is like driving up a mountain without brakes.
It sounds scary, but with little pushes of the engine, you make a lot of progress. However, if you are not progressing, you will slide backward. We need to constantly be working on ourselves. We need to practice being more and more Christlike every day so that we do not backslide.
If one day we say, "I have no time to pray or read my scriptures," then that will be our excuse every time.
If every time we cheated on a diet we said, "Oh, I was weak today," then that would be our excuse every day.
I invite you to have the diligence, bravery, and willpower to make learning a priority. Learn about your Father in Heaven. What are His qualities? How does the Son reflect those qualities? Why are we here? Where were we before? Where are we going?
Learn. And learn to love to learn. (Sorry if that was confusing. Try saying it slower.)
I love you all and am rooting for you.
Be as tough as nails but speak wisely.
