I Wanna Be A Cowboy!
Hello everyone!
We had more Naadam celebrations. We got to go to the Naadam Center in the city, which was super cool! We saw about 20 other missionaries and got to catch up and talk about our areas. It's so nice getting to see all of the city missionaries again.
I'm going to skip through all the boring things because I am too excited to talk about transfers.
I GOT TRANSFERRED TO THE COUNTRYSIDE!!!
My new area is 10 hours by train from Ulaanbaatar. I got to stay on an overnight train until 5:45 in the morning. Needless to say, I didn’t get a lot of sleep, but it was super cool!
I'm in a really cool area called Selenge, and it's out in the middle of nowhere, where wild horses and cows roam. It's very beautiful and reminds me a lot of rural Illinois, so needless to say, I'm going to upload tons of pictures to my Google Photos.
My new companion is named Sister Udy, and she is amazing. She has been here in Selenge for three transfers, and I can see why. She is a really dedicated missionary, who is really good at the language and brought in seven different baptisms last transfer. I can't wait to help her with the area and learn from her. She really is a blessing. I'm really excited to be in the countryside for my language as well. Out here, almost no one speaks English, so I am forced to learn the language quicker.
One miracle I saw this week happened on Wednesday when we were coming back from day one of a Naadam celebration. We were trying to hail a taxi and waited for a while without anyone pulling over. So, we decided to say a prayer and see if we could try again. About two minutes after the prayer, a car pulled over and gave us a ride home. We even got a really good price for the ride! It was amazing and exactly what we needed. Please keep looking for the little blessings that God sends your way! He sends those little rays of light—you just need to look for them.
