Field Work (Literally)
Hello Everyone!
This week has been awesome. We have finished all the lessons for our two investigators and have set up their baptismal date for this Thursday. Needless to say, I'm super excited to dunk these kids. I feel like I've talked about them in the last email, but they really are amazing. The elders have also finally gotten permission for their investigator to get baptized.
A little context: the elders' investigator is named Bolor-Irden, and he had been an investigator for two long years. He has gone through the lessons multiple times, and he is just a spiritually filled kid. His parents would not let him get baptized, and finally, this past Saturday, the elders fully sent it and went over to their house to ask for permission, even beg if necessary. And the biggest miracle happened. His mom finally gave permission. Now he is going to be baptized with our two investigators. Elder Walker, who had been here for four transfers, shed a couple of tears when the mom finally said yes.
We also had a huge, spiritually filled testimony meeting with our one investigator when we went over for a meal with her family. We all shared baptismal experiences or experiences with our investigator. Even if I could not understand anything that was going on, I felt the Spirit really strongly.
I am so happy to have the gospel in my life, and I am happy to know that I am a daughter of God. I know you are all sons and daughters of a Heavenly King, and He wants us to be like Him one day. I am so proud of all the progress that you guys have made, and I'm so happy to be able to be on this amazing mission.
As the title suggests, we were also able to do some service for some members who own a farm. We spent all of Thursday weeding around carrots.
With love,
Sister Vestel
