Summer Solstice

Hi y'all!

I definitely forgot to write in my last email, but because of another sister going home for medical reasons, Sister Curtis and I became a trio with Sister Sawyer joining us! I am so happy Sister Sawyer is with us because she is super funny, has amazing language skills, and is just an amazing missionary.

The summer solstice was this week, and it was SUPER rainy and cold. So cold, in fact, that it started SNOWING. It was so awesome! We had a huge puddle in front of our house because of the rain and snow. Sister Curtis (the only one with rain boots) gave us a piggyback ride across the puddle, and it was hilarious. She really is a Christlike person.

One spiritual thing that happened to me this week was when I was on transfer with one of our STLs, Sister Lee. For those of you who don't know what an STL is, it is a sister companionship who is in charge of the sisters in their zone. They go on exchanges and check up on them regularly to make sure everyone is doing well and to see if we need anything. They are always the best because they were chosen by the president for their caring personality and their excellence as missionaries.

Anyways, Sister Lee and I were teaching a friend for the very first time. First lessons are almost always about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and explaining how to pray and why prayer is important. I felt the Spirit so strongly when I bore my testimony about the Godhead. I know for sure that God is real and He loves us more than we could know. I also know that Jesus Christ suffered for all of our sins so that we would be able to have our own agency and choose for ourselves the life we would lead. I know prayer and choosing to follow God's commandments brings eternal peace and happiness.
I say these things in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
